Trick or Treat 2013

I always feel like a kid everytime there's a trick or treat party.  I just remembered that when I entered the corporate world, my former team was so creative to prepare for this event.. Unfortunately, I didn't experience to join trick or treat when I was a kid. Siguro hindi palang uso or di nakakaisip ng kaartehan ang magulang ko. haha. So before I told my self, I would like my kid/s also to make effort and prepare costume for my little one. 

But to be honest, I haven't bought any costumes for this trick or treat. Maybe because I was too busy with my work or I don't have an idea what I would like to wear for my son. Another thing is, when I asked Matt if he likes to be Superman, Batman etc., He didn't like eh, it's hot daw. Buti na lang di na ko napagastos ng 700-1K pesos for a costume. 

Thanks to the Book "Benny and the Spider", Benny is the scarecrow and the friend of the spider. Matt' loves that book by the way. I've got an idea, a day before the trick or treat party at SM Centerpoint!

He had a DIY scarecrow costume! The only thing that I buy is the old man's hat at SM. It only costs 70 pesos. Then I used the paper wrapper of the hat and put on his long sleeves and pants. Then I used my lipstick and eyeliner on his face. But na lang pala di sya nagka allergy. But, then Feel na Feel ng bagets ang outfit! haha

Sayang lang di na namin natapos ang program because I need to go to office and Matt was so tired and sleepy too. Kids in our condo, had  a trick or treat party too, so he used his costume twice! Sulit dba?

Me and Ara

I just want to write about this new toy, another blessing from above. I just noticed that I haven't blogged about Ara. Yeah, Ara is the name of our new car. Why I called her Ara? Since, I am complaining with the long travel from my office to house and it would also be convenient for me and my son if I have a car to drop and pick him up to my parents house rather than riding a taxi. That means, she's a lady car. Hehe. A week before we got our new car, I was lucky that I've been to USA and I have visited 4 states there! One of the nicest is when I had a chance to be in Las Vegas and stayed at Vdara hotel and Aria Resort and Casino. Never thought in my entire life that I will got the chance to stay in that luxurious place! It's a real nice and cozy hotel of course because it is in Vegas! That's why I had the idea to get the name Ara. Sounds sexy,brave and smart name right? Hehe. 

Since, we have another car, I have no choice but to have more self confidence to drive her. It's not easy of course especially on my first day. Hay, pati matres ko ata pinagpawisan. I got even more nervous if my son was riding, it's really hard for a new driver like me. Everytime I'll drive, I pray and God always send angels to guide me. He send angels by using other people like Kuya guard, the car wash boy and the Barangay tanod. I admit that I am really struggling to park especially back parking. So I need a bigger space so I could park safely. 

Thank you Lord for another blessing! I still can't believe that I could drive as fabulous as this car. I feel so pretty even without make up everytime I'm with Ara! Hehe

Goodbye nappy!

 I'm proud my son is now toilet trained! I'm not yet ready actually why? Because we still have more stocks of disposable diapers and secondly I just bought cloth diapers. I thought he would like to use it because the designs are really cute. But, my baby was really a big boy na. He is the one who doesn't like to wear diapers and will tell me "no Mommy, saktan ako diaper" or "its hot Mommy". Its been 7 days since he's not using diaper even at night, he will just tell me " Mommy iihi lang Matt sa Cr." Im proud because it's another milestone for him and tipid na din  ! Good job baby! 28 mos

Four years and counting!

It's our 4th year wedding anniversary. No fancy celebration, we just had dinner after I worked from home. Sometimes, I missed going out for date just the two of us. Feeling dalaga and binata lang ulit. But of course, it's much better if we have our son together. But at this moment wala makulit and we could have a better conversation and kamustahan. 

It's four years since we tied the knot, we received four great gifts! My waistline increased in 4 inches and I'm praying we will be 4 in the family. I hope it will be 4ever! Happy anniversary! 

From cars to planes

Its a whole week that Matt is requesting to watch the movie "Plane". He's making lambing to his dad and asked "Dadda let's watch planes.please." Ang sosyal lang ng batang ito, samantala nung bata ako 5yrs old na ata ako nakapanood ng sine! After we watched, he saw an ice cream booth. Nakakatawa lang when he asked his dad "Icecream naman dadda oh, please" so we bought ice cream and ate in our house. Nakaka aliw because he could easily memorize the names of the characters, seems that it would be his new favorite. Btw, hubby also cooked an Indian food, it's di makasala I think. Thank you Lord for the gift of ordinary weekend.

He is now asking about our creator. I hope and I prayed that I explained to hom very well about God. I hope he will be a God fearing and a good person. 27 mos

Rainy conversations

Its been raining for 3 straight days. As usual I could not make to work to the office means that I have more time with my son. Here are some of our conversations and I must say that I was really surprised ang daldal at dami na nya alam. 

Eksena 1. While looking in our window

Matt: Mommy kawawa fishes ano? 

Me: why?

Matt: They are so cold. 

He's concern with the fishes pala. 

Eksena 2. He was playing with the girl next to our door which is much older to her.

Matt: Mallows where are you?

When he saw Mallows, bigla tinaas ang kamay and said " And the winner is May matt!"

Nakikipaglaro pala sya ng taguan..

Me: Are you sick? Let's check your temperature.

Matt: No, i'm good. 

Oha!

Me: Anak, let's eat.

Matt: no, thanks.

Oha ulit!

He is just 28 months! I wish I could have more time blogging all of his milestones. 

These are some moments that makes me feel great and thankful that I became a mom. 

Gift of ordinary weekend - Clay making!

We had fun. Its ordinary weekend. But my son enjoyed so much when he found that we can make a turbo (name of the snail in a movie) and a fish! It's priceless!

Senti Moment

My heart melts just this morning,my son doesn't want me to go for work. :(
While I'm busy preparing what to wear.
Matt: Mommy, no opis nalang please?
Me: ha?
Matt: Mommy shorts n lang.(shorts na lang daw isuot ko).
Me: I pause for a while and hug him. Why you don't want me to go to office?
Matt: dito lang Mommy.

He's really a big boy na, I was surprised that he knows to demand and longing for my time. 

I asked Matt to take pictures before I send him to my parents house. and I promised that I'll be home early na lang. Oh.. naglalambing ang baby ko.. 
I love you son. 

Bonding time on Independence Day!

It's Independence day, Dadda Jet went to the office because their office moved the holiday much earlier.  

I chose to work from home but before I start we drop by at SM Sta. Mesa. I know that Matt always wish to play at the playground even when he was one year old with bounce bounce. But the rate are not reasonable in some malls and we think that he is still young for that activity. It's Independence Day that I granted his wish, we tried to play for 30 minutes and look at my little boy. He doesn't know where he will start, he enjoyed a lot!

When Mommy can't get out inside the Ipad

Hi Anak,

Maybe you are wondering when one morning Mommy was not home for the whole day. you could only see Mommy inside the IPAD screen. Maybe you were amazed? And you think that it would be easy for you to touch Mommy? You asked your Dadda to go upstairs because you think I was only hiding there. 

Sorry anak, but Mommy was bit far from you. I am in US, remember when I told you the day before I flew that Mommy will just go to US. And I will miss you so much darling. I think you are very bright boy, because when Tita Ana (our family friend) asked you "Where is your mommy?" you answered US. She even confirmed with nanay. Hehe. I was not expecting that you will gonna absorb what I told you.


You want to make power hugs and play with Mommy. You just play peek a boo and hug the IPAD. I know you already missed me. I missed you too, anak. I was little guilty that I left you and you were only 2 years old. I know and I really feel that you love me so much. But God has plans for us, anak. I know even I am away from you in 3 weeks, I am not that bad Mommy.  Hope in God's time we could also have vacation in US, hope to bring you here too! I love you and forever I will.

I am so proud to be your Mommy. You are the coolest, cutest, sweetest creature I ever known here on earth. 

They say that you are bright baby, your skills are advanced compared to other kids of your age. 

You love Cars! You are Disney Cars fanatic! . 

You even memorized the Characters of Disney cars! Mc Queen, Mater, Luigi, Filmore,Guido, Doc Hudson to name the few. 

 You even love Trucks! Trucks! Wow Trucks.. Big Big Trucks! you always love to say that. Sometimes we go to a construction area and you were so amaze watching those trucks!

How you wish you could ride also in a motorcycle by your own... but maybe let's wait for 2 years more darling..

I am proud that before you turned two, you knows how to eat by your self!

You've been sick, and I hate that you used the nebulizer because you had asthma. 

It really pains on Mommy to see you are sick my little boy. 

You love to play sands, you love the beach, you love to swim swim swim! "Chwim Chwim Chwim"

You love to make friends and give smile to everyone. .

You even wave your hands to say good bye every time we ride a taxi or going out from elevator.

Shakey's Na Lang

We are glad when we found out that Shakeys Pizza will build a new branch near in our house.

Everytime na dumadaan kami sa tinatayong Shakeys, I told Matt that if the construction will be finished month before his birthday, we will celebrate his birthday there. So that's a sign!

But, aha.. They opened one and half month before my son's birthday. They opened last March 1, 2013.
Dadda, me and Mat dined on their grand opening and inquired for their birthday packages.

When we arrived our house, hmmm.. over budget yata considering it would be his 2nd birthday na.
My second plan is to have a DIY Construction Birthday, because I know he will like it. But I don't have enough time to organize and make DIY's besides we don't have a good venue.

We asked our little Boy, where he likes to celebrate his birthday.

Matt: No, No, No..

Me: How about in Mc Do?

Ahahaha! He know's what he likes!

Cars and Trucks

Our Little Boy 

Not so obvious what are his addictions! Cars, cars, trucks, trucks! Watching the never ending Disney Cars 1 and Disney Cars 2. And he's most favorite was Lightning McQueen of course. Ka chao! He even learned how to park them before we sleep! 

Maybe our Little Matt will be an Engineer when he grows up?

And look our little boy is so happy with his new set of toys from her godparent. Another collection!

He was so in hurry to going downstairs, to my surprise he was able to put his crocs on! Another milestone for our Matt! I noticed your crocs are bit small, need to buy a bigger one soon. Age: 20 months 

I'm moving to my new environment...

It's been a long time since I am not blogging.. I'm busy, busy, busy with everything. I had my last day with my previous company and after 2 days I am dive to a new environment, new colleagues and new location.
I took some of my idle time in learning the Mutual Funds, Stock investing etc., so fnally I opened basic account for my son and for me and hubby.

So it's start of Holy Week when I started my first day of Work! My initial plan is to have a vacation for a month of course just to unwind and have sometime with my family specially with my son. But God has different plan for me. :)

Whoah, the most horrible was my travel time going to office. Good thing that I am working in a flexible schedule so I could study which is the most comfortable and the cheapest way for me to go in the office. From 30 mins travel now 1 hour and 30 mins travel time.

On my first week, I had some long walks so I feel that I lost some pounds! haha.. Secondly, we don't have a pantry which cooks food like Ate Lyn (my previous compay cook). Oh, I learned lot of healthy recipes from her by the way.

It's nice to work with a good ambiance and a cozy work environment, my officemates are younger than me now! Imagine I am almost one of the youngest in my previous company, but now I am one of the seniors..haha.

Just a little background, I did not apply for this Job but God is so good. He finds ways, while I'm busy on my  everyday task.. A foreigner send me a message and asking if I want a new opportunity. Of course, who would not, if you know you could grow and will have benefit and be benefit for the company right?

I love how my employer give trust to their employees. I find some of the staffs were not that toxic.
I believe, I will have more upcoming projects, but I pray that it would not be as stressful as my previous work before. Hope everything will be fine soon. But for now. I am enjoying my new environment. :)

Father and Son moments

I always love seeing my two boys together.  I know how God loves thru them.

 Even Dadda Jet was  not with us before Matt’s first year, siguro nga ito ang lukso ng dugo. I know Matt loves his Dadda so much.

I am proud of my hubby, even if I left the house for a whole day and without a helper I know they could survive and he will take good care of our son!  Very good Dadda Jet! I love you both.

Post Valentines Date - 2013

Yey! I have two handsome dates for this Valentines!

Last year, hubby was in US so we just celebrated VDay thru Skype. Buti na lang may baby Matt ako na proxy ni Dadda nya.

Because of our conflict schedule.. We celebrated the next day and to avoid traffic too and lots of lovers celebrating this event. We dine out at Uncle Cheffy in Robinson's Magnolia. Our newly loved mall. :) :)

My Poor Asmathic Baby - January 2013

Oh Anak, Sorry.. But you need to nebulize.. 

Very good baby, buti na lang you don't have tumtrums and  you know how to use the nebulizer.. 

Para tuloy nag smoke ang baby namin. 

I pray, that you will grow to be a healthy boy. No more pneumonia and asthma attacks so that will be the last the you will be using that nebulizer. 

Matt's First Christmas at Ilocos Dec2012

It's our first time to celebrate Christmas as family  in hubby's hometown in Ilocos.

Aside from Jet's brothers wedding, Christmas is usually their family reunion.

I think Matt really enjoyed his vacation.. He enjoyed playing with his two cousins. Even before we sleep, he wanted to be with Chim chim (kua tim tim) and Nyen nyen ( Ate

Mother's Pain - January 2013

Ughh.. Here we go again.. Matt was hospitalized for the third time. A not so good start of the Year 2013.

Everytime my little Matt was sick, as a Mom I feel so guilty.. I am always asking myself if I should continue working.. or just focused on being a SAHM.
Matt was hospitalized because of on and off cough and then triggered to Pneumonia and Asthma.
It was "again" the scariest 10 minutes to me.. Seeing my son continuously coughing and could not breathe properly. No one in my siblings had asthma during our younger years.. It was my first time to see a kid being attacked with asthma.. And unfortunately it's my son. Aside from the pollution, it was inherit from his Dadda.

The pain again are in me, I could not do while Matt is asking for help and crying out loud "Mimmie, Ayaw, Ayaw". All I have to do is to hug him while the nurse inserted the IV. (Ang hirap pala maging nanay!!)

My super hero

He never forgot to bring his cars (mc queen, raul is the other one I think). Maybe he also felt that I am really worried about him. He told me he is "Myman" (spiderman) that makes me laugh. I am proud he is a fighter, a brave little boy.

He was connected with a pulse oximeter, to monitor his pulse rate, which makes him more irritable.

We are transferred to a new Private room, a better space with a Ref and Television so that Matt will not be bored.

It's part of the childhood as what they said. On the other side, I am thankful that hubby is here at least I have a partner taking care of our son. Secondly, to our health card that we did not even pay except for the name tag on his wrist..
