January 19 - Happy 9th Month Birthday!

Yohooo!!! 3mos to go and your turning 1 year old!!! Happy 9th month Baby Matt!

First of all we would like to thank Papa Jesus, Padre Pio and Mama Mary for saving you!

You had a not so good health condition on your 8th month and Mommy's most horrible experience too!

We had fun fun fun on your 9th month birthday! You smashed and able to taste your cake!

Hindi lang yan, you also wipe icings at ang number 1 victim si Granny Sweet!

Sarap ng handa mo baby ko.. Nom nom nom! You ate pansit on your birthday!

Here are some of your developmental Milestones:

- After hospitalization we discovered that there are 4 upcomming upper teeth! 

No wonder why you had high fever!

- You could easily stand on your playpen!

- You were so daldal and could speak: Dadda, Ahmi, Mama, Papa, Ige and Inde

- You likes to eat ampalaya and take it as a candy

- You know how to teast and call Granny Sweet when you likes to go home

- You loves eating grapes

- You cried out loud when you want to go outside!

- You know how to drink in a cup

- You know how to clap your hands!!! Bravo!

Ang dami mo na alam Matt, compared to other babies in our neighborhood advance ka daw! Clap clap! Galing ng baby namin.. We love you so much!

January 18 - Reverse

Oha! Naku, may na discover ka na naman anak ha.. Ano yan? Reverse walking?

January 9 - Thank you Dadda

Actually Dadda Jet's package came when you were still in the hospital. Maybe this is one reason too why we were so excited to go home.. You have many new toys again! May books din pinadala si dadda for you! Yey! Meron na naman tayo babasahin for bed time... Dami din chocolates but not for you anak, I'll give you when you grow older na lang ha..

January 17 - Kawawang mga toys

Wow, you were playing your toys! Good baby! Dami mong toys dba? Those are from your Dadda Jet. But look, you were using those toys as your stage!hehe..

Kaya pala nilalagay mo sa gilid yung mga stuff toys and pillows so that you could easily stand! Very bright boy! Kaso kawawa naman si Scout and Mickey.hehe

January 14 - Bukas Cabinet

Aha! Naku Matt..May nadiscover ka na naman anak ha.. Bukas bukas cabinet.

Januar 16 - Wattccchinng???

Can you guess what our little Matt is watching?
He's seriously watching NBA! Yup! Cartoons and other kiddie movies don't have much appeal on him.
I was surprise when he enjoyed watching basketball? Mukhang namana mo kay Dadda yan anak ha.
Pagdating nya, you could join him watching basketball. Poor Ahmi, I don't have choice but to join my boys..

January 13 - Post Christmas Gifts!

Ahmi drop by to meet my college friends. Some are your god parents. I did no longer join the dinner date and just gave some of presents for the kiddies. And luckily, you also have a present for them! Yehey! You receive 2 cutee Mickey Mouse Pajama's from Ninang Eva and an ABC book from Tita Belle!

January 12 - Cloth Diapering

Ahmi was so praning after your hospitalization. We suspect that the primary cause of your UTI is frequent use of diaper. So mommy researched and found other alternative! I bought a pack of cloth diaper. It's bit expensive though, and I hope masulit natin ito.  Diaper rash can be prevented and it's enviromental friendly! Let's see!

Oh, after your hospitalization your metabolism changed. You eat a lot and ask for milk after every meal. I hope you will gain more weight. Very good baby!

January 11 - Massage kay Tatay

Sweet naman ng baby namin! Tatay had a back ache, kaya you help Tita Ninang to massage him!

Onga pala Matt, there are 4 upcoming in your front upper teeth! Kaya minsan medyo iritable ka siguro.

January 10 - Si Totoy

Aha! Ano yan Matt ha, habang papatalikod ako at kukuha ng diaper mo nagulat na lang ako ng nilalaro mo na ang totoy mo... Pag tingin ko gising na sya...chillax na chillax ka pa ha habang nanonood ng TV! Lab you butoytoy Matt ko..

January 8 - Completely healed!

God is truly good! Hindi nya tayo pinababayaan.Just like lolo Larry remind us always.. Back to normal na ulit,need mo na lang magpalakas... As promised,we went to Padre Pio chapel in Libis to hear mass.. Nanay Nimfa, brought you to the lay minister for oil blessing...you know what you did? Nagpakarga ka daw, tapos tawa ka ng tawa habang nagppray over... I did not exactly see what have you done..but what I imagine is The child run and carried by Papa Jesus...Did you see Papa Jesus thru the lay minister anak?

I brought you too Mama Mary and Padre Pio's statue and you look and smile at them...

January 7 - Day 3 in Hospital (Finally, Thank you oh Lord)

Finally! You did not have fever for 24 hours kaya pwede ka na madischarge! Yoohoo! 

Humabol si Ninang Sahlee as your visitor. Sa tagal ng pedia mo dumating inabot na tayo ng hapon. So another charge for the hospital bill. Pero ok lang atleast, it's your last day na. I feel that you were so tired with your left hand. Mabigat ba anak? One time there were nursing assistant who came and changed the bed sheet. You  began to cry and when the other nurse came near you pinaghahampas mo sa braso..hahaha. Ginantihan mo ba Matt?

At last, matatanggal na din ang mala transformer mong kamay. You were so curious looking at the nurse assisting you. Brave ng little boy ko, you did not cry when the IV was removed.

Mukhang nasindak yung nurse na gumawa non at buti na lang walang  maayos ang pagkakalagay.

Thank you Papa God, Thank you Mama Mary, Thank you Padre Pio for another miracle!

Ang napansin lang namin, parang tumangkad ka ata agad anak habang nasa hospital ka..

January 6 - Hospital Day 2 (Phobia to Nurse)

We moved in to single room unit. Napaka bilis ng metro sa Lourdes Hospital! I afraid na baka lumobo 

ang bills namin sa mahal ng room rate. Our little Matt had a phobia with nurses. Kasi ba naman ikaw kaya ang natutulog at injectionan ng antibiotic sa IV? Kuhanan ng temperature? Tusukan for skin test? Kuhanan ng dugo? Lahat ng yan di mo pa naiintindihan anak..But that's for your own good anak.. You were so bored inside the room. You cried out loud, pati ako naiiyak and I blamed the nurse na baka hindi ayos pagkakalagay nila ng IV. Suddenly when we walk near the door you stop crying. Aha! Gusto mo pala lumabas ha. Kaya sa lahat naman ng naka confine ikaw ang gumagala habang hila hila ang IV stand ! You jump jump while  we were outside, sa wakas nakakita ka na din ng ibang tao no? But when you see anurse, you cried!hahaha.. Pano kaya pag si Tito Lec ang nakita mo naka uniform?

On and off pa din ang fever ng baby namin. They gave you antibiotic already.

Doctor ordered if you don't have fever on the next day pwede ka na ma discharge.  

I prayed and called Padre Pio again to ask for his healing miracle. I put on his novena under your shirt. 

I asked thru his intercession to heal you and promised to hear mass on his chapel on Sunday. 

Padre Pio, Mama Mary, Papa God.. Please heal our little Matt.. 

January 5 - Day 1 at the Hospital

Poor Matty, at age of 8mos na experience na  nya ang maconfine. I decided to confine my son, mahirap magdecide mag isa. Pero sa tingin ko ito ang best way para maging worry free at gumaling si baby Matt.
Nung pagdating namin sa hospital, binigyan sya agad ng oxygen.

The resident pedia told me na  "ok na sya Mommy" wag ka magpanick. Nakatulog na ang anak ko, he was so tired after his convulsion. I decided not to see him habang nilalagyan sya ng dextrose so I went to the admitting office para makapag asikaso ng room. On the entire floor dinig na dinig ang iyak ni Matt. I can't help it and returned back immediately to my son. He was looking to us na parang nanghihingi ng tulong kaso wala naman kami magawa.. "I just say, anak sorry..sorry..sorry" Habang nakakatulog na sya, kinuhaan naman ng dugo.. Iyak na naman si Matt.. Habang napapaiyak na din ako.. I feel the pain of my son.
Kung pwede lang ako na lang sana anak.. Sorry anak..

Initially I reserve for a ward room (6 beds) kaso crib lang pala ito. Naawa naman ako sa anak ko at sa sarili ko din..My worry is baka mahawa ang anak ko sa sakit ng iba and bawal daw ang may ibang kasama magbantay, paano na pag gusto kong mag CR? I decided to move on the suite room which cost P3,500!
Pikit mata ko na lang nilipat ang anak ko and plan to move if there would be a single room available.

We learned that the Convulsion is hereditary. My sister had it and si Mama din pala. Sa side ni Jet naman 2 of his brothers had convulsion din. So naswertehan pala si Matt.

Halatang pagod na pagod at gutom na gutom ang anak ko, pwede sya mag milk kaso 1 onz lang. Kaya iyak na naman dahil sa gutom. Buti na lang may  IPAD kaming dala at ang favorite ever nyang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star ang nakakapag patahan sa kanya habang ako naman ay naiiyak..


I felt the love of my son. He cried out when he did not see me.. He always want me to carry him..
He often says Ahmi or Mama.. I love you too anak..

January 4 - The most scariest of moment of my Mommyhood

Ahmi, don't leave me please...

Hay, my little Matt is sick. When we woke up, I noticed that his hot already. I checked on his temperature and it's already 38C! Oh my, kaya tempra agad. He fell asleep afterwards, nung hiniga ko na sya he woke up at nagtatumbling na.. Sabi ko tara na anak, labas na tayo.. Then I noticed he was chilling already! I brought him to pedia, 39.6C na ang lagnat ng anak ko. Kaso bago kami umalis kay pedia, nawala na un fever nya.. Hmm. Yan ba yung tinatawag na lagnat layas anak???

At 3PM, he had his normal temperature. I have a meeting kaya pumasok pa ako. I arrived at 10PM, parang may sili ang pwet ko sa pagmamadali umuwi. I washed and changed my clothes and say "Anak dito na si Ahmi"  kinarga ko na sya agad. He just smile a little and look at me. Sabi ko kay Mama, bakit ganito ang mata ni Matt naka tingin lang sa ilaw. Sabi ni Mama, punasan ko daw ng punasan para mawala ang fever nya. 

He poo poo at around 11PM, we wash his butt kaso iyak sya ng iyak at nilalamig. Sabi ko mama tama na. 

I wrapped him on my saya carrier para mapagpawisan sya while constantly rubbing a wet towel.
Around 11:30PM, I took his temperature to my surprise its 40C! In a few seconds nangisay ang baby ko!

I shouted and called Mama si Matt!!!!Lahat ng kapatid ko nagising, si Mama at Papa umakyat agad
Si Jonna binuhusan agad ng tubig si Matt sa taranta. I was shocked and blamed my sister bakit nya binuhusan agad! Baka ma choke si Matt. Buti na lang andun ang kapatid kong Nurse si Lec,Ate wag kang kabahan ok na ito habang minamassage ang mga kamay ng anak ko. I whispered to God: "Lord hindi ko po kaya ito.." habang nakatulala na lang at tinitignan si Matt. Hindi na sya yung Matt na anak ko, he looks like a fetus.. Parang bigla ko naalala yung itsura nya nung pinanganak ko sya. Nakayuko, at naka sarado na ang mga kamay nya.

After a few seconds, umiyak na si Matt.. Nabuhayan na ako ng loob at dinala na namin sya sa hospital.
Matt was still crying habang naninigas ang dila nya.


It was the scariest moment of my mommyhood...Thank you Oh Lord, for saving my little one...

January 3 - Sinong may gusto ng tubig?

Aha! Huli ka Matt... Nagpapalaki ka ba ng muscles anak? Pati yang mineral water mo nakukuha at nabubuhat mo na dyan. Tapos pag pagod ka na, tinutulak mo na.. Excercise mo ba yan anak? Lalab you!

January 2 - Bye Yaya and Yayo

Bye Bye Yayo Angkaw and Yaya Eah! Ahihihi! They're going back to the province Baby Matt..
Super vibes pa naman kayo ni Tito Angkaw no? Don't worry babalik sila on your birthday!
Inday was also sick, kaya balik din muna sya sa lola nya.. So wala ka yaya ngayon..huhuh.. Don't worry dyan naman sila Nanay at Tatay..

January 1 - Happy New Year 2012!

Happy New Year Baby Matt! It's Mommy's best new year ever! You are the greatest gift I ever received! I love you so much my son! 

It's the first Sunday of the Year, we heard mass at Mt. Carmel Church.

You were wearing the t-shirt gave by Tito Aaron. Pang 2 years old na yung size and I thought its big for you, pero kasyang kasya naman. Bagay pala sayo ang green anak. Suot mo pa ang dog tag necklace mo, kaya japorms na japorms ka! 

Side Kwento: Mommy was arranging some clothes and you were carried by Tita Katkat. While Dadda thru Skype was also busy fixing his laptop. Suddenly you shouted: DADDAHH!!! 

We paused for a moment and surprised! Sabi na lang namin, si Matt ba yun?

Aha! Galing ng baby ko ah!

December 31 - Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012

Bye 2011, Thank you for all the good things, all the blessings you brought to us!!!
Hello 2012, Please be good to us too!!!

New Year 2011- Ahmmy Joan, 5 mos pregnant

Time flies so fast, it was just last year you were kicking inside my tummy! 

It's your first New Year, baby Matt! Mukhang super enjoy ka din naman. Hindi ka naman umiyak medyo nagugulat ka lang sa mga fire crackers. As a tradition we light some lucis in front of the house, I brought you outside for a  couple of minutes for you to witness those fireworks!  Ang bibo talga ng baby namin!

Alam mo kung san ka natakot anak? Sa torotot! Kahit isuot ayaw mo.. Why kaya? Because of the sound? Perfect pa naman sana sa picuture picture natin! Dadda was also there, naki medya noche kaya may family picture ulit tayo! Salamat sa Skype! Syempre naki gulo at naki kain ka din ng handa natin! Yum yum no?

We had an exchange gift with our extended family. Syempre kasama ka din representative ka ni Dadda.

Si Lola Mina ang nakabunot sayo and you received 2 pajamas! Bongga! Sakto anak medyo masikip na ang mga pajamas mo. It was so fun fun! Nakisayaw ka din partner with Lola Ellen and Ahmy!

Side Kwento: May pahabol naman ang 2011, it was the last morning of 2011 at nahulog ka sa double deck na hinihigaan natin! Nung paglingon ko wala ka na at buti nalang sinalo ka ng mga legs at  paa nila Tita Kat at Tita Eah! Sobrang takot and worry ko then when I carried you, you smiled pa! Natawa na lang din si Ahmy! Thank God you were safe.. 

Dec 30 - Tito Angkaw

Aha! Anong secret nyo Matt?  Tuwang tuwa ka sa Tito Angkaw mo ha!

Favorite mo sya, kaya inaalagaan ka nya para daw magka talent fee sya sa pag aalaga sayo.hehe

Sabi nya ang binubulong daw nya ay: "Magcocomputer tayo mamayang 2PM ha."

Nakakatawa ba un anak? hehehe

Dec 29 - Playtime with Tatay

Naku anak, bet na bet mo gawing horsy horsy si tatay! Ayan tuloy hinila pagkatapos....heheh.... Marunong ka ba tlaga makipaglaro nagbasketball pa kayo.... Habang nagddidribol sya talon ka naman ng talon....hahaha

December 28 - Eastwood City

We went to Eastwood City together with Nanay Nimfa's cousin.

Ay anak, parang 1 year old ka na, titig na titig ka sa mga lights dun!

Ganda no? 

May mga  human acting robots, nagpapicture tayo and I'm proud you were not afraid!

You touched them pa anak! Galing ang bibo talaga ng baby namin!

Ang nakakatuwa nakakita ka ng nagba- bungee jumping yung ulo mo nag up and down din!haha

Side Kwento: We ate at KFC and there are group of young men sitting. 

They were talking about Lebron James while looking at your shoes!

Akala ni Tatay Ted shoes daw nya tinitignan..hehe..Sikat ka na naman Matt!

December 27 - The Moon Secrets

One of your favorite IPAD application is the Moon Secrets Story.. Pero number one pa din ang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star! Pag nag ta tantrums ka minsan, I'll just let you watch the Twinkle Little Star tapos nag bebehave ka na anak.. You like to stand pa while watching! Sana maging mahilig ka din sa books ha, hindi lang sa IPAD anak.. Kaya book reading pa din tayo before bed time.. :)
